Speaking of getting my ass whooped, tonight the low temperature is supposed to be -12 degrees F (-24.5 degrees C). Walking outside is literally like taking a punch to the face.

I remember living near Erie for college, then 2 years in Ithaca. I used to have ways of knowing how cold it was. At 20 F my moustache would get wet with condensation, which would start freezing at 10 F. At 0 F, the hairs in my nose would freeze when I inhaled.

When you come inside after being outside in those temps, the 70 F air feels like sticking your head in a hot oven.
