The reason I refer to DF as a “Good Republican” is he has shown time and again that he recognizes his party is a cannibal cult that is fueled by bile and hate…but he refuses to part with it because “reasons.” Either it’s because Daddy won’t love him anymore, it’s because he thinks Illinois Democrats are all corrupt, or it’s because he thinks that there are “sane” Republicans like Mark Kirk who will reform the party if he just supports enough of them. Always an excuse, but also assurances that he doesn’t support the worst elements of the party…before he finally just fesses up that he’s supporting them because he will never vote for a Democrat.

So yeah, he’ll probably try to sneak back in when he thinks the dust has settled from this election, assuring us that he only voted for Trump because he didn’t like Hillary, but he never supported Trump, and we need to “move on.” And then he’ll return to telling us how every time a Republican drops trough and takes a shit on the national stage, it’s “good politics” because it’s got people talking about how awful the shit stinks.
