True enough. If the vote had failed, then it would have been setback, but one that could have been addressed next year when McCain’s replacement is likely to be in office. With the votes last night, the heart has been pretty much ripped out of the repeal effort. The Senate GOP are on record voting against the only available options, which means anybody who suggests they take it up next year will face a pretty steep hill.
