The problem is that the margin is coming from reliable Republican districts. The powers that be already know where the Democratic areas are and can take care of them through some of the tricks. But in the reliable or marginal Republican areas, there’s no way of really suppressing this. Women are the ones changing their minds, and of course, turncoats can’t be gerrymandered or suppressed out either.
