There are two competing definitions here.

If you pull the trigger once (and hold it down) and only one round is fired, that is not an automatic weapon.

If you pull the trigger once (and hold it down) and rounds are continuously fired, that’s an automatic weapon.

If it automatically reloads (but only fires one round), it’s a semi-automatic.
