If the GOP primary voters really ARE stupid enough to hand Gingrich the nomination, the November 2012 election results could very well look like the 1984 results, with Obama playing the role of Reagan and newt playing Walter Mondale.

Honestly, I think that no matter who the GOP picks, the election is in the bag for Obama. If they pick Romney, the wingnuts will stay home and he’s screwed. If they pick Newt, the wingnuts will vote for him but nobody else will, and I still believe they don’t have enough votes to elect a President.
