Good points. I’d like to see a more widespread appreciation of the point that religion (or lack thereof) and morality (or lack thereof) have very little to do with each other.

Thanks. Really, I mean it’s just annoying being told if you say I don’t like Tebow- “Oh you must hate religion and Christians.” Hell, I’m a big Steelers fan. One of our biggest stars, Troy Polamalu is a devoutly Christian guy too but he’s not as well known for it as Tebow is. I think at one point I had a problem with Tebow but I’ve realized it’s more with his diehard fans than the man himself who I will admit seems to be a nice enough guy and one I will add from a football fan’s pov got the raw end of a deal in New York this year. But back to my broader point, yeah, there are a lot of good people out there who just happen to be nonreligious. Religious or non religious really shouldn’t be how you’re judged as a person. It should be what you actually do. IF you believe in God and Scripture and do terrible things, you suck. IF you don’t and do equally wonderful things, you’re awesome.
