The authorities will be watching his property in LV closely just in case he turns up there.

He’ll need to find somewhere else to hide.

I’d just as soon have the cops find Dorner and take him into custody without a bunch of civilians (or Dorner) becoming victims of “accidents” or “unfortunate incidents”.
