That’s simply from the water levels. On top of that you get rain patterns shifting, species migrating (and bringing diseases with them), and lots or areas now flood-prone that were previously safe.

And, of course, you’ll see a lot of resources thrown into a losing battle to save coastal cities via levees and such rather than a rational decision to start a long-term plan to shift to higher ground now.

Because if we successfully planned long-term as a planet-covering society we would have nipped this issue in the bud.
