Reagan’s most lasting legacy is the vast imbalance in the distribution of wealth in this country, which has matched, and exceeded, the levels seen during the Gilded Age. Reaganomics was the fraud of the century. It was a willful, carefully crafted strategy too, from the voodoo economic theories used to support it to the administration’s successful program to destroy organized labor.
