I feel responsible to point out the wingnuttiness of Gary Johnson because he had two terms as governor of NM, and he looks cool to those who only see his pro-pot stance.

That’s the usual problem with libertarians. They can be superficially appealing to single issue voters (e.g. legalized pot), but their philosophy is horrible when carried to extremes. And libertarians always carry it to extremes.
