Expecting any GOP to break ranks is a fool’s errand. They want this, they want precisely this, because Trump has always been the logical extension of the GOP. They don’t see Democrats as human, why would they see brown folk on an island, even if it was a US Territory as human?

They’d only break if Trump said something truly awful like tax cuts don’t stimulate the economy, that originalism is a sham judicial philosophy, or that Ronald Reagan sucked.
