Populism.

Populism is not an ideology, we have seen socialist as well as fascist populists on our political landscape.

But it is a matter of offering simple “common sense” answers that appeal to people’s distrust of “elites”.

Right and I’m talking about how that’s grown in recent years. We’ve always had populists going back to our earliest days but in the past, we saw the limits of populism left and right. Populism isn’t all bad I concede. I think it’s not radical at all to say corporations have too much power or the federal government. The problem is the politics of resentment and it’s almost always white resentment.
