You know, I may have missed it but I haven’t seen anyone comment on the other outrageous thing in Palin’s latest little gaffe about Paul Revere. It wasn’t just that she completely messed up the story (let’s be fair: we all know she’s a vapid idiot), but it’s also the fact that she appears to have presented this story as some sort of dire warning against the government.

I have to ask: is she warning about some sort of oncoming insurrection? Because the government is trying to…what exactly? What has the Obama administration done to try to “take away our guns”? I know that it is widely accepted in anti-Obama circles that he is trying to take away our “Guns, Ammo, and Wimmins”, but exactly what basis do they have for claiming this?

I haven’t seen the administration trying to take anyone’s guns away, as far as I can remember. And yet we have these right-wing extremist morons claiming that this is so practically every single day.

And now we have one of the most well known figures apparently warning that they’re going to have yet another armed and bloody revolution and using historical figures in an attempt to warn against any attempt to….exactly what again?

Personally, I think that’s really fucking outrageous.
