And that quack group also gives talking points to the xenophobes by claiming that illegal aliens are bringing all manner of disease into the US - whether it’s Ebola (bzzz wrong), Enterovirus (bzzzz, wrong, the disease was first identified in the US in 1962), and their right wing spambots spew this nonsense without caring that the current outbreak was due to the failure of American citizens being sufficiently vaccinated. The outbreak affected those who had not gotten vaccinated, and they spread the disease to others who weren’t vaccinated.

The kicker is that Guatemala, Mexico and other Latin American countries are doing a better job with vaccinations than the US. Higher vaccination rates.

So they actually have fewer cases of these entirely preventable diseases.
