I’ll say it again because it bears repeating but the people who knew Trump the best rejected him soundly. The people who really only knew him from being King Birther and the Apprentice guy embraced him the most. I’m not a New Yorker and I’m only 30 but I remember Trump growing up since he was a celebrity. I always thought he was an obnoxious bore in love with himself.
