No — not the world wars — but the mass slaughters and genocides. With the United States and the UK alliance with fascist nations and white supremacy, there is no major power to fight the battle for freedom. Instead we are headed to a new dark age: India is on the road to a genocide of Muslims, Trump’s America is working to reinstate Jim Crow and return feudalism as the reigning economic policy; Russia, without any objection from us, is trying to regain its empire.

OTOH maybe we are headed to the Waterworld dystopia given our failure to confront the major crisis of our times — one that doesn’t care about your political or religious or “traditional” cultural beliefs.

The World Wars did involve genocides. The Armenian genocide happened during WWI and the Holocaust during WWII. If we somehow get rid of Trump next fall, we need to become the leaders of democracy and inclusion.
