Trump fucking with testing in Texas is kinda stunning to me.

He’s going to lose Texas. This cements it.

Trump might not lose Texas, but if he’s got to spend money there to keep the state, it’s money he can’t spend elsewhere. That props up what had been a deep red state. That means Democrats can potentially pick off other Senate races and win states for Biden.

Dems need to get their 50 state campaign going in overdrive. All the seats and their races matter. Don’t take any of it for granted.

Meanwhile, we see some of the primary results coming in from NY and they’re mostly predictable.

AOC handily won - it wasn’t even close.
Elliot Engel got crushed by his opponent, newcomer Jamaal Bowman. Engel was undone in part by his claim that if he didn’t have a primary this year, he wouldn’t care.

Carolyn Maloney seems to be slightly ahead of her challenger Suraj Patel but that’s too close to call.

Nadler is leading handily in his race.

Retiring Dems Serrano and Lowey have a bunch of newcomers vying for their seats - Mondaire Jones is leading for Lowey’s seat. Both of those seats are reliably Democratic, so it’s unlikely a GOPer could pick those seats up in November.
