My guess is the family will get the money. Whatever’s left after the hospital bills will disappear.

FEMA provides money to defer the cost of funeral expenses to those who die of Covid-19 (assuming you haven’t bullied a doctor or coroner to put something different on the death certificate).

People who say they are raising money for funeral expenses should be directed to FEMA on how to apply for the money. The death certificate must attribute the death to Covid-19, so to get the assistance conservatives must set aside their religious faith and admit Covid-19 killed their family member.
