he has to keep his artillery in range of ukrainian cities to do that, and at last report, ukraine was about to drive the russians out of range of even kharkiv. at some point, the russians will be out of ukraine, and when that happens, suddenly the U.S. will be supplying the newest E.U. member with cruise missiles, to help defend itself from “nuisance” missiles being fired at it from Russian airspace.

I heard somewhere yesterday that the howitzers that the US shipped are now being deployed and that they have a range that is about 7-8 miles farther than the best the Russians have (with much superior precision). The Ukrainians are trained up and ready to go. Should be helpful in keeping Russian artillery at bay.
