As I posted before the Religious Right infected all of my family and turned them into monsters that I cannot handle. The only way to cope with it was to get the hell out of Pennsylvania!

The United Methodist Church is not normally associated with “the religious right.” They nevertheless feel the same way as just about every other Christian church vis. atheists: We are to be shunned.

A lot is said about JWs and Seventh Day Adventists about shunning, but the reality is nearly every Christian church does it.

I am not welcome in any of my cousin’s homes but one because I am an atheist and no other reason.

It’s sad in a way that their religious faith is more important than their family (and they lost their damn minds when my sister was married), but that’s their problem.
