As a male, I don’t use that word for women because here in America it is very rude for me to do that.

Yet, other cultures will be different. As has been pointed out, Bee’s skit would have hardly raised an eyebrow in the UK.

Try being in Australia and hearing the word being used liberally on a regular basis.
