Look…I’m using the term like I was taught it by my buddies gun-nut father when he taught me to shoot.

The term is ambiguous, generally an automatic $Pistol (e.g automatic glock) is fully automatic, while $pistol automatic generally refers to any pistol that readies a 2nd bullet (i.e. not a revolver).

Should I tell you about the handful of automatic revolvers that were made at the turn of the 19th to 20th centuries? :D
