Full disclosure: I attended a Ronald Reagan campaign rally in 1984. This doesn’t make me a brain-dead drooler.

So, I went to a Harry Truman rally in 1947. I was 5, but still remember the event. I was impressed by all the police on rooftops holding rifles.
