Needless to say, it wasn’t really innocent. But the ’50s — the Twinkie Era — do offer lessons that remain relevant in the 21st century. Above all, the success of the postwar American economy demonstrates that, contrary to today’s conservative orthodoxy, you can have prosperity without demeaning workers and coddling the rich.

And no mention at all of what other number if any he would like. For extended context, ponder what the deficit would look like if his oft cited contention the stim should have been 3x larger.

So yeah to pay for that I would think he implies that’s what it would take to balance the emotions as related to the budget. He makes no mention of justifying the math, so I call his argument emotional instead of factual.

Where is the math? I’d love to see that from any of the tax advocates-Where is the revenue/economic sweet spot for the tax rates?
