I don’t take a position on abortion anymore, though I wasn’t trying to say that women don’t have rights. But I don’t think Paul Ryan was saying that either, and I think that tweet unfairly smears him.

He doesn’t think rape is a reason to allow abortion* and has cosponsored legislation to allow the rapist to prevent his victim from aborting. He doesn’t say women have no rights at all, but if I cannot control my own body, how many rights do I actually have?
