I hope he takes United to court, and refuses a settlement. I’d like to hear United’s reasons for choosing him and not some other person on the plane for removal. Plaintiffs would be entitled to discovery.
Per United, when an “overbooked” flight gets to that point, their computer system supposedly chooses people at random to boot; however, given United’s appalling customer service, I’ll bet it’s not exactly “random” at all.
