CBS and Paramount carved up the baby King Solomon-style and it’s led to a situation where neither can really give us an authentic Trek series without the other suing their ass into the ground for copyright infringement.

That’s exactly the problem. This came about because instead of artistic interests the only decision was how to maximize immediate quarter profits for each corporation.

But in the long run it is killing the franchise.
