The Alabama GOP will tear itself apart in civil war…. if Moore is dropped, I can almost guarantee he’ll run as write-in candidate or an indie.

And if he does that, then it will be him and (I assume) Strange versus Doug Jones, which runs the risk of either his winning or splitting the vote sufficiently to seat Jones. If that happens, then anybody caught up in the whole scheme can kiss their careers goodbye.
