re: #93 Barefoot Grin

Tough. I’ve had two major crashes while cycling. A Giro helmet saved my noggin when I hit a rock at about 25 mph one morning on a lonely road. I went right over the handlebars onto my head and only lost a small amount of face near my upper cheek/eye socket. On the first one I was much younger and wasn’t wearing a helmet when a car plowed through me on a country road. Took a few IQ points into her windshield. That’s the one that made me ruggedly handsome and buy a helmet.

Pedestrians need a helmet more often than cyclists. But that’s not gonna go anywhere. At least I don’t think it will. First time they required helmets in the Tour de France, there was a sit-down strike during one stage.
