re: #94 Targetpractice

Their beliefs go something like this:

1. The whole thing will start out with the few “patriots” who immediately take up arms against the “tyrannical gov’t.”

2. Public sentiment will rapidly swing in their favor and against the “tyrannical gov’t,” because “the people” will see that their cause is just and honorable.

3. This swing will convince the Armed Forces that the “tyrannical gov’t” needs to go and spark a widespread mutiny, with any who don’t immediately join the “patriot” cause being subject to future “war crimes” tribunals.

4. With the Armed Forces now led by these “patriots,” a swift coup will remove the “tyrannical gov’t” from power and install one in total compliance with the “true wishes” of the Founding Fathers. They’ll have to postpone elections for a bit (you know) because they’ll need to time to root out all those politicians who won’t take a loyalty pledge to these “New Founding Fathers.”

If your plan requires ONE BIG THING to go EXACTLY RIGHT it’s probably a bad plan. If your plan requires many big things to go exactly right, you’re probably an idiot who should not be making plans.
