The deal this time is the POTUS has the insurance companies, doctors and the rest on his side. The insurance companies came on board to protect their turf.

The U.S. government, as the “single payer,” can’t even being to afford paying doctor fees and hospital fees as they are currently structured. Either IRS taxes will have to go up 30% on every taxpayer, or doctors and medical companies will have to take a big hit on their salaries.

Since a 30% tax hike is completely out of the question, and the doctors are not going to want to cut their income by half — the plan looks doomed.
