Which one can point to discernible “progress” in the last 50 years? Progress in terms we would have signed up to in the beginning? The US keeps signing up for this and I see little that we get out of it except that Israel manages to survive.

There’s Carter / Sadat / Begin. Israel and Egypt have been at peace ever since then, so that’s one down, twenty-odd to go…
