I remember the olden days of Usenet, in the forum alt.war.civil.usa, where RSMcCain was the THIRD most obnoxious troll to post there.

Here is a blast-o from the past-o in which RS McCain requested, from the actual Civil War historians on the board, some literature by Owned-Americans who enjoyed their status of being someone else’s property.

He did not get a favorable response.

OK, I really just stopped by for a quick read, but really. Really? It was illegal to teach slaves to read and write in many states and they are supposed to have left notes saying how much they enjoyed being owned by other people? The fail is astonishing.
