since i’ve worked for this company (just shy of 15 years now) I’ve always worked three out of the five (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day) and never an “eve” and “day” combined (always one or the other)

ya when i worked as a restaurant cook i used to work all the holidays

the upside was i would be off on like mondays and wednesdays and it was easier to do chores since gummint offices & suchlike would be open
