I’ve decided that if they don’t feel continuously persecuted they don’t feel like good christianists. It’s like a rule.

Well it works on the same principle as suspense in drama, at some level the brain can’t distinguish a real threat from a pretend one (or a lie) and your attention can be riveted to their channel for hours or all day.

Unfortunately this method of enslaving people has psychological side effects, not just the political ones in FOX’s case. People who are reacting to imaginary threats aren’t attuned to finer emotions, in a sense people are being denied the better part of their humanity this way.
