His herd got fat off the public land without paying for it. That’s criminal.

All the rest is window dressing and attempts to divert attention from the fact that he’s a criminal whose buddies came out with all manner of weapons to attack those carrying out lawful acts of the courts and federal agencies to administer the law. They are lawbreakers.
