I wonder if some people who want health insurance sold across state lines are thinking in terms of policies where if you get cancer, the insurer sends you X amount of money and then you get to go bargain with your local cancer center to try and get treatment for that amount? Because everyone with cancer has lots of time and choices for their care.

The idea of doctors in multiple states being ‘in network” for a variety of providers is mind boggling.
