Parallel parking, a Mothers Day connection.

When I was 16, learning to parallel park had defeated my own

efforts, as well as my father’s instructional ability. My mother learned of the impasse and took over the task. She introduced me to her own infallible method, just pull forward until your window aligns with the front windows of the next vehicle, regardless of relative length, and back in from there. It works.

My older brother taught me that trick with the exception of lining up the steering wheels. It does work every single time.
