The sociology of sports fascinated me. It’s different then music. It’s much more tribal than music is because listening to music is a completely different pastime than following a sports team for six months of the up and downs of a season. I still love Opening Day. It’s still my dream to attend one day. Same thing with the World Series.

Mrs. Fish and I did opening day at Target Field four years ago. She was pregnant with the younger fishspawn at the time. Temperature at first pitch: 33 degrees. Yeah, it was brutal. Be careful what you wish for when you choose Opening Day in a northern state.
