Why are blacks overrepresented in basketball and football, and underrepresented in most other sports? Because the barrier for entry and the cost to participate in the first two is lower than the others. Considering that 10/242 is smaller than the fraction of African Americans in the general population, most of the Olympic sports are way too costly just to jump into.
