Far too many people screaming for impeachment now forget that most people in this country aren’t paying as much attention as they are. And I know people hate hearing this, but impeachment is a political process, and while you might sometimes want to pay a political price for the right thing (see House members losing seats for voting for the ACA) we DO NOT WANT TO LOSE 2020. So we explain it to those paying less attention, or we let Trump demonstrate to those not paying attention why it needs to happen.
