Today our village of 700 souls is going to go bat-shit crazy over Karneval. Thousands of people from all over will descend upon it for an afternoon parade and party blow-out into the evening.

We are located up a side valley, a dead-end basically, so they can close off the main road here without massively disrupting traffic and causing major detours, which is pretty much the case anywhere else in an around the Rhine valley.

For that, it is looking to be rainy and windy (at least mild, temps near 50°F) all afternoon, but I am not likely to venture outside today.
