We finally got a new dishwasher installed. It took a month. There is little enjoyment in washing dishes by hand. The washer is so quiet! 39 dB they claim, my dB meter only goes down to a scale of 60 and I have to get really close to get a -9dB. Our last washer was reasonably quiet for the first year and a half then for the next six years it sounded like the gearbox wanted to explode. Just a guess on the sound level would be 75 dB at 1 meter.
