I don’t know. It’s been a while since I’ve looked at those old threads. There was certainly a radical element, there’s no doubt about that but many of us “neocon” types were previously left leaning folks who didn’t really recognize a lot of the right wing radical memes, revisionist history, etc. They were very unfamiliar to us. I suppose many of us looked the other way on some issues too. I suppose the first hints I picked up was the hatred of atheists. I was here for years before I openly admitted I was an atheist.
