Another factor that could derationalize Iran is domestic. The Iranian regime is oppressive and there’s brewing domestic pressure. The mullah’s grip on power is not going to last. As a last grasp to retain power at home could cause them to instigate international conflicts with usual demons of Israel, the US or Europe to save a failing regime at home.
