Got a letter from my bank last week. I can no longer pay by cash or by check for health care services from my HSA. It must be paid via an electronic transfer or debit card so that the funds and provider can be verified by the federal government. You can do a lot of things based on a constitutional right to privacy, but not get a cavity filled or buy a pair of glasses without government approval.

I deposited a a series of large checks in my bank last month. On the first trip the cashier tried to sell me a bunch of new services. I declined. on the second and third trip the teller must have somehow notified a “manager” (aka Bullshit salesman) who came over offering coffee and a chat. These are the same dickheads who were charging me insane overdraft fees a few months earlier when I was poor. Assholes all.
