Is this the 3rd, or 4th time that the USAF has tried to dump the A-10? Close ground support isn’t glamorous enough for them, and they still don’t want the Army to get a foothold in fixed wing aviation for carrying out a necessary mission profile.

Dumping the A-10 is also pressure for adopting the F-35 since you need the strike aircraft.
