Note that at the time he wrote this he hadn’t even filed the appeal. It’s such a weird thing for him to lie about. He must have thought he could grift the difference in the cash he raised from his wingnut donors thinking they’d never check to see if he actually sued as far as he claimed. Maybe he got called out on lying about this by one of his supporters recently and was forced to actually spend the money.

Or maybe he’s just a pathological fabulist and felt the need to lie two months ago to puff himself up and and make it seem like he gone further than he really had with this.
