The AC in my house is heating upstairs but not downstairs. It’s 16 outside, which is quite cool here in Dallas. So, right now, it’s 68 upstairs, and 62 down. I think the valve that regulates flow isn’t opening for downstairs. That kind of sucks because 1) I had it replaced about 5 or 6 years ago, and 2) when the upstairs doesn’t need the heat, the unit is pushing against the valve. Hopefully, someone can come out today and look at it.
If you have manual registers to balance your flow, make sure all the upper floor are open.
Then hope the problem is just related to the unusual weather.
